FIVE FACTS FROM THE SOURCE (Embedded):

By watching television shows "kids have been injured trying to repeat dangerous stunts".
Children who usually watches television "are more likely to be inactive and tend to snack" when they watch and gain weight.
"Thin women are disproportionately represented" on television and portrayed a lie to children while heavier women are made fun of.
Movies and television shows that are frightening can lead children to have "bad dreams, anxious feelings, being afraid of being alone, withdrawing from friends, and missing school".
Children who watch dangerous and violent television shows "reduces inhibitions and leads to more aggressive behavior".

Summary of Source (Three-Four Sentences of the Who, What, Where, Why, and How in your own words. NO OPINION):
The University of Michigan has compiled research and information about the effects of television on children and lists many effects and ways to help your kids. Though television can be entertaining it can have long term and dramatic effects on children. It can affect their health and behavior in many ways. The things that are exposed to children today such as violent, sexual, and stereotypical content can effect them in horrible outcomes. Television is a big part of everyone's life including children that saves them from boredom but since it can lead to many problems the University of Michigan compiled many research information to inform the public on what television can do to their children.

It is simply to inform the public and mostly parents who have young children to know the limits of television and its effects.

No i believe there is no bias on the writing because it is mostly facts and research compiled that informs the negative effects of television.

Yes the author references many sources because the information is mostly all research that are cited.
