FIVE FACTS FROM THE SOURCE (Embedded):
Children that are up too 18 months "can pay attention to an operating television set for short periods of time" but takes a great deal of effort.
Though it is not fully researched why children "imitate behaviour from television" there are evidence that shows they do.
Today on TV there is an "unfortunate lack of non-violent educational and entertaining programming" for young children.
When a parent interacts with their kids it can "reduce a preschooler's aggression".
The "viewing patterns children establish as toddlers" can affect how they watch television throughout their lives.

Summary of Source (Three-Four Sentences of the Who, What, Where, Why, and How in your own words. NO OPINION):

FIVE FACTS FROM THE SOURCE (Embedded):

Young children who watch television "more than 4 hours per day" are more likely to be overweight.

It is very wise and important to control the "content of TV programming and set viewing limits" on your children.

As more alcohol content on tv has increased "more underage kids are being exposed to them than ever".

You should "limit the number of TV-watching hours" by applying household rules in which it keeps your children away from the television at most times.

Young children who usually watches violent content and behavior will more likely to "show aggressive behavior".

Summary of Source (Three-Four Sentences of the Who, What, Where, Why, and How in your own words. NO OPINION):

The author and site is simply writing this to be informative to the public about their childrens health as they watch television. The whole site is generally for educational purposes only.

Bias: Do you detect a bias (a favoring of either side) in the author's writing?
I believe there is no bias in the writing because it is strictly informing facts about the effects of television and cannot be biased but it also includes the good things about television so it has both sides.

References: Does the author cite references in the writing? If so, do these add or take away from the credibility?
The author/editor did not cite any references in the whole article but it does not take a ny credibility because it was written and edited by a medical doctor.
